Why Sales?

I never thought about pursuing a career in sales until recently, when I realized it excites me—a significant turning point in my life. Despite being more of an introvert, I was surprised to learn that introverts often excel in sales. I enjoy challenging myself, and I believe sales is about more than closing deals; it's about helping people and making a positive impact. Pursuing a career in sales aligns perfectly with my drive to make a difference and my enthusiasm for a new challenge.

Sales isn't just about transactions; it's about building relationships and finding solutions that genuinely benefit others. Understanding clients' needs, and offering products or services that can solve their problems, fuels my motivation. What excites me most about sales is that each day comes with new challenges and opportunities to learn, grow, and develop your soft skills that are fundamental to success in this field.

Furthermore, I am driven by a genuine desire to help people, and I believe sales offers a unique opportunity to connect with individuals and businesses, understand their pain points, and provide effective solutions to their problems. By building trust and fostering long-term relationships based on integrity, respect, and empathy—values that I hold dear—I aim to make a positive impact. Pursuing a career in sales feels like the right path for me, and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me.

During my time as President of ALPFA UCF, I had the privilege of working closely with Martina Embry, who served as our Vice President of Corporate Relations. Martina was an incredible asset to our team and played a key role in the success of our organization.

Martina was exceptional in fostering relationships with both our members and corporate partners. Her ability to communicate effectively and respond quickly made her a reliable and approachable leader. She consistently went above and beyond to support our chapter’s goals, ensuring that everyone felt valued and heard.

One of Martina’s most impressive accomplishments was securing more company sponsors for our annual golf tournament than in previous years. Her hard work resulted in a 54% increase in funds raised, which was a remarkable achievement for our organization.

Martina’s dedication and professionalism left a lasting impact on ALPFA UCF. She was truly a pleasure to work with and had a crucial role behind our chapter’s success.
